Amity Institute is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization
dedicated to building international friendship and
cultural understanding through teaching exchange
since 1962.
About Amity
Exchange Teacher Program
The Exchange Teacher program
arranges for certified professional
teachers to serve as temporary paid
faculty at primary and secondary
levels. International teachers can be
assigned for up to three years at a
school.
Cultural Exchange Program
The Cultural Exchange Program provides
opportunities to share the participant's
native language and culture with the
students and community. In addition,
participants are gaining teaching skills
under the direct supervision of a
certified teacher in an American
classroom.
Welcome to the Amity Institute Program. Founded in 1962,
the Amity Programs were based on the belief that
language learning and cultural exchange are essential to
building international friendship and cultural understanding.
This philosophy still remains at the core of the program
today. We know that the relationships formed during an
assignment have a powerful and long-lasting impact on the
lives of all participants and the wider school community.
Volunteer Abroad Program
Amity provides opportunities for
American university students and recent
graduates to participate in a short-term
program focused on assisting in English
classrooms abroad.
